Background: Khalil comes from a world where people have been genetically altered to see in monochrome. He was raised in a well-to-do family and pressured, especially by his mother, to excel. But when it was discovered that Khalil could see color, his mother and brother began to abuse him. It escalated to the point where his brother even tried to blind him. Khalil's father intervened, but Khalil was left with injuries to his left eye and both arms. His father, fearing for his safety, sent him to a government institution for treatment.
[alterations in P-H] Khalil comes from a world where people are losing the ability to see color. Those who still can are called Prismas, and they are sheltered in a town called Prismatic Haven. After Khalil's mother and brother started to abuse him, he received an invitation to Prismatic's prestigious academy, and his father urged him to accept the invitation, so that he could live safely in the dorms. But, only the day after Khalil sent off his reply, his brother attempted to blind him. The Academy intervened and brought him to the campus.
Personality: Khalil may seem difficult to approach, as he is emotionally closed-off and rather reserved. In spite of this, he is polite and friendly enough to build peaceful relationships because his parents raised him with the intention of having him join one of their companies and thus trained him to handle business dealings. He likes to help others and has a kind of "never-say-no" compulsion. He will tell people what he thinks they want to hear; deep down, however, he is actually rather stubborn.
