We see a dark canopy surrounding the silhouette of a mighty wall. A placid lake sprawls out before it, shrouded in the pitch-black darkness of the cloudy night. A single boat glides silently over the water carrying two people toward the opposite shore. A slender, well-built man named SILVER MOON is at the oars, paddling steadily. A light-haired boy named SKY, about 13 or 14 years old, sits across from him, scowling angrily.

SKY
(disgusted, livid)
I hate this place! I hope I never see it again!

SILVER MOON
I know that you're angry, considering what Storm Cloud and his warriors did to you during the battle. But Sky, I think you are being rash in deciding to run away from the Haven. Are you sure this is what you want?

SKY
I'm sick and tired of being Storm Cloud's tool! I'm done with it!

SILVER MOON
(sadly)
Very well. I suppose nothing I say will change your mind.

The canoe gently slides up onto the sandy bank, and Silver Moon steadies it as Sky climbs out. We see lights from a cluster of small houses a short distance away. Everything beyond the village is a dark expanse of trees and underbrush.

SKY
(regretfully)
I will miss you, though, Silver Moon. Take care. And tell Silver Star goodbye for me.

SILVER MOON
Goodbye, my friend. Take care of yourself.

TILT UP as Sky turns and climbs clumsily up the bank and slips off into the dark forest like a cat.
