Trying out for American Idol 2009

Normally I don't watch American Idol, for lack of interest in watching other people sing, whereas I'd rather listen or sing myself. But not this year.

At around about the end of the new season I check to see if any of the other shows that were moved for a few months because of American Idol have come back on yet. I turned it on and sure enough, american Idol was on. That is where I heard David Archuleta.

Now don't think I'm one of those types of girls that would drop and squeal at the sight of celebrities. I would rather treat humans like humans. But in all honesty, I thought he had the voice of an angel.

I looked up the official site online and tons of youtube video's. I wanted to learn more.

after about a month of research, I slept over at my Sister's house last night just for the fun of it. Hey, three day weekend, right?

I talked to both of my sisters, Yuffi and Rihona (obviously not their real names) and discovered that they wanted to try out too. Rihona already has a plan, but Yuffi... has many problems. not only does she have issues with the money, but her tonsils keep swelling, and her mom doesn't have insurance for her to get them removed, making it really hard for her to sing.

So, we made a deal. She helps me practice getting my singing louder, and I help her with the money after november, when her mom gets the money to get them removed.

today Rihona talked to us about it, since she was knocked out at the time we were talking (midnight isn't exactly her cup of tea.) and told us what David Archuleta had told her. I Don't have a clue why, but she has great luck with celebrities. She Dated Zach Efron before he became famous...

So, I won't go into details, but she did tell us more about what is required and where the next auditions are being held. which just happens to be not that far away from my hometown. I'm HOPING that I'm not too young to audition though.

I was born with my mothers voice. So, in all reality, I have a very mature voice for my age. by the time American Idol is in town, I'll be fourteen years old. not exactly a promising age to look t. My sisters by then will be 17, however, and will have no problems going in. now they feel bad because we've just realized this very true but somewhat unfair dilemma.

But I'm going to try to go in anyway. It's not my fault I want to sing, And I'm going to try come floods and Title waves! The key is to never give up, and THAT'S what I plan on doing!
