Tenderness of an Angel [One Shot]

[She's an Angel Sent from Heaven Just for Me]

I was new to Japan. I wanted desperately to study abroad here, so I begged my parents to let me and help arrange my studying here. It took a lot of negotiation, but I finally got to them. They paid for my school and living expenses here, so when I arrived to Japan, I had nothing to worry about, but things took a bad turn. My parents ended up in a fatal automobile accident the day before I had to leave for Japan. I was distraught and devastated that I thought about not going, but a better thought crossed my mind. I decided to move there and live on my own, starting a new life. Then my parent’s money wouldn't be wasted. I didn't have any relatives that were alive that were willing to take me in. They always told me I was a complicated child. At first, I grew into an abusing household. My father was drunk all the time and on his drunken rampages he would abuse and molest me behind my mother's back. I was too afraid to tell my mother because I thought she wouldn't believe mean that my father would end up killing me without hesitation, but my mother divorced my biological father after finding out for herself and remarried to another and richer man. She just so happen to come home early from work and she caught father trying to rape me. She was very happy together with my new father and they barely fought, but they died months after getting married. Hopefully here, I can forget about my past, remember the special and good memories of my new family and start anew in this country.

I slowly approached the black metal gates of Tokyo High. My heart was pounding out of nervousness. The gentle and soothing breeze of the wind whipped by me, making my long, dark brown hair and short blue sailor skirt flow with it's current. The breeze cooled down my burning dark skin as the rays from the bright sun hit my face. It was spring and the beautiful pink cherry blossoms blew with the wind, descending down from its place on the trees as if it were descending from the sky. They stopped and rested as they gently hit the hard ground. I stared at the students walking into the building, socializing with their friends. I gulped as I swallowed down the knot in my throat and held tightly onto my brown handbag filled with books and notebooks. There, I saw him. His short brown hair, his brown sugar coated eyes and his tall slender slightly tanned body. His thin lips married a scowl as his eyes gleamed with anger. Both of his hands were shoved into the pockets of his black slacks, creating a perfect posture of a bad boy. His body glowed a "Don't fuck with me" aura. His eyes stared and watched the clouds go by as he stood in front of the school doors, and then his eyes met mine. At that moment, the wind whipped by again causing my heart to race faster. I felt my cheeks heat up as he kept staring at me, but I calmed down when he looked away and walked into the school. I took a deep breath and exhaled it out in a sigh as I swallowed my nerves and ran inside the building.

As I walked in, I watched as the students opened their small lockers, took off their shoes, swapped them with another and slammed the locker shut. I decided to do the same, when I found my locker. I didn't know when class started and I didn't want to be late, so I rushed myself, quickly putting on my new shoes, stuffing the old in my locker and slamming it. I grabbed my bag and ran, searching my classroom, until I bumped into somebody. I was pushed back, making my eyes close tightly. When I opened them, I noticed I was pushed up against a wall with a thin guy grabbing the collar of my blouse tightly. I glared into his dark brown eyes as I gasped a bit for air.

"Watch where you going, twinkle toes." He demanded me.

I stayed silent as I continued to glare at him, not losing my composure and keeping a strong poker face.

I saw his lips curve into a smirk that sent shivers down my spine.

"You're a tough one. I like that in a woman."

Eurgh, gross!

"You do have a cute face......" He complimented me as he grazed my right cheeks with his hand.

"How about you give me a kiss and I'll leave you alone?"

I stared at the guy, disgusted at what he just asked me to do.

"I don't think so." I mumbled his answer to him.

He gritted his teeth and pinned my hands above my head.

"I don't think I was asking." He told me angrily.

I turned my head the other way, closing my eyes tightly as his face leaned closer into mine. As I opened my eyes, I noticed the guy was lying on the floor, holding his bruised cheek. I turned my head to the side to see that bad boy from earlier. My heart raced again as my cheeks heated up.

"You!" I accidently said aloud.

He ignored my response and continued to glare at the pervert.

"Still harassing girls, huh Toshi?"

The guy slowly stood up and rubbed his cheek, glaring at him. He scoffed and turned around, walking away.

I smiled widely and turned back towards him.

"Watashi o hozon suru tame no arigatō!" I thanked him.

He scoffed at my gratitude and turned around, walking away.

"What's your name?" I asked him.

"Rin", he simply told me before disappearing from my sight.

Rin....., such a nice name........

My thoughts were cut off when the bell rang for class to start.

"Oh shit!" I mumbled as I quickly searched my homeroom class.

I slid the door open and closed it after I walked in. The whole class focused their attention on me. I shyly avoided their gazes and stood in the front of the class.

"Class, this is our new transfer student from America."

I sheepishly waved at them. Standing in front of a crowd always made me nervous.

"Introduce yourself, would you please?"

I nodded my head to the sensei and stared at the class.

"Ohayōgozaimasu watashi wa Aoidesu." I introduced myself.

I decided to use my Japanese name Aoi.

"Ohayōgozaimasu!" The class greeted me back.

"Please take a seat, if you will."

I nodded and bowed, before walking away. I decided to sit in a desk in the far back. I didn't want a lot attention.

As Sensei started his lecture, the classroom door slid open and closed. I widened my eyes when I realized Rin was standing in front of the door.

"He's in my class?!" I thought frantically.

"Nice of you to finally join us, Kaneyo-san. Please take a seat anywhere."

My heart raced again as he walked up towards me and sat in the desk in front of me. He relaxed himself as he rested his feet on his desk, crossed and embraced the back of his head with his arms. He was so close to me, that I could smell his scent, his.......intoxicating scent. My mind went blank. All I could focus on was Rin right in front of me. His hair smelled so fresh and clean. I wanted to embrace him by the neck gently and cuddly into his head, so badly, but I shook off that temptation. I didn't want to make him angry with me. That's the one thing I didn't want from him.
