When watching Yu-Gi-Oh Season 0, I finally thought of a suitable cliche.
THE DITZ.
Young, foolish, materialistic, not-so-smart, swayed easily, and FEMALE (but not having all of those characteristics), there is usually one ditzy girl in most animes.
Some happen to refer to themselves in the third person (like "Misa-Misa" or "Miho"), but all of them are very lovable. ♥
Famous example: Amane Misa from Death Note
Some other examples I thought of are:

GAH! i experienced this one to the max today!
I was watching ghost in the shell (movie), and man, i was basically yelling at the screen to let the goddammed characters blink!
Why do they never blink?!
1) Makes it seem like a cheap make
2) It's irritating!
3) Ruins the "realism" from animes like this that try making them more human
4) It kept creeping me out! Spesh when they were talking about brains!
5) It always makes me think somethings scratched or damaged.
I'm not sure if it occurs often in other anime's but it really wound me up lol!
But i know that there's some that lack blinking! Just can't remember em!
*whew* rant over lol! ^^

Girls Crossdressing

Yes just now i relized how they always make everyone colorfight haha like in DBZ thats practically all they do haha. thats how they fight lol.
they do that too in bleach all the time haha.
also in death note like even in the intro you see it. light is res and L is blue.
this aura of color is a cliche in our anime....ohh yeah XD
Okay, this isn't a cliche, but another weird thing i found out!!

The anime gravitation hosts a pink haired guy (shuichi) who looks like a kid. He's gay. The person he's gay with is famous. That guys a writer. (Yuki) Yuki had a past rape problem yeah?
Right second anime:
Kirepapa (so far only one episode out)
The main guy is a writer. He was raped in his past. His child has pink hair. His son dates a famous person.(Info from the manga)
