I love animation and animated movies, whether it's a good old Disney classic or a fresh, new film from an independent studio. I'm hoping that many of you feel the same way, and I have created this world to show my love for this amazing genre.
If anyone would like to join, I'd be happy to have you! PM me anytime or leave a comment on any world posts.
This world is for ALL animation types, which means (*pause for dramatic effect*) that anime is allowed (and accepted!). :D

Just a note that I follow several animation and fandom blogs on tumblr, which is where I get all these images and stuff from. And any fanart I post is NOT mine unless I specify that it is.

Recently, I've started posting reviews for animated movies as well. Go here to read them.

The Rules:
1. No hating/flaming. Even if it's not your favourite, it may be someone else's.
2. I encourage you to post, but keep things to a PG-13 rating. I hope this won't be a problem...
3. Fan art (yours and others) is totally allowed :D
4. Have fun!

A quick note: I'm a bit biased, I'll admit. I'll post tons of things about my favourite animated movies. But here's the good part: SO CAN YOU!

This seriously needs to be an ongoing series

So since I posted gigi's Kid Icarus: Uprising art yesterday, I decide that today I'm going to showcase the animated promotional shorts that were released for the game, just 'cause they're so darn entertaining. And I'm going to add a little review!

Firstly, here's my personal favourite: Palutena's Revolting Dinner

And here's part two. (MILD FANSERVICE WARNING!) :o
This short was done by Studio Shaft, the studio who brought us Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Negima. I really like the style that's used, and it's a lot wackier than the other two shorts, which seems to suit the Uprising tone more.

The only thing I lament about these is that they never made it into a full-length series. I mean, okay, Nintendo has done some questionable series (WARNING: this link includes language!) based on beloved characters, but that was YEARS ago! Based on the shorts and the story of Uprising, it would make an awesome anime series, and I'm sure they would make much better choices than they did with... that...thing. D:

La Seine

It's from "Un monstre à Paris", or for us non-French speaking types "A Monster in Paris". I love this movie/scene/song. :)

Life Goes On

Read this adorable (and sad) Brave fanfiction here.
Bring kittens and tissues.

I LIED

Okay, it's not strictly animation AND also it's not Disney, but I COULDN'T RESIST.

Although, you know... technically Uprising DOES have animated shorts.

The art is done by gigidigi, who writes the awesome webcomic Cucumber Quest (thanks to Ryuchu for getting me addicted).
Read it here.
