I found a great deal to go to the Washington DC Sakura Festival. I'll be there one night and will go 'otaku seeking' as per my normal routine. Are there any DC members here?

I want to get back into martial arts since I've been a sloth the last few months and I'm having trouble getting to the gym. I studied Kung Fu for like 6 years from two different schools. There's a famous kung fu school here in NYC taught my a Shaolin Monk, but I'm kind of tempted to try something new and sign up at a kickboxing/MMA school near my place. What do you think? It's a philosophical question, should one continue what they know with an amazing teacher or try something new to broaden horizons?
