::ACen 2008 Update::
Hello my friends that are going with me to ACen this year!!!!! YAY!!! So, as you know it is May 16th to the 18th and today being the 23rd of April that leaves you and me 3 weekends until the big day which is only 23 days away. >>;; So close!!!! Now with that being said that brings me to the topics i wish to speak about to you....
The food list,Things you should bring with you and some strategies to use when planning what you want to bring with you,also when to drop your things off at my place.
First up...The infamous food list because you will get hungry at ACen and eatting just chips and pocky will not satisify your stomach unless your a twig who never eats....>>;;
Okay so here's what i'm going to bring with me to eat...Bread,Lunchmeat,Chips,Yogurt,Cereal,Begals,and Ramen
For beverages i'm bringing a thing of flavored water and some brisk iced tea!!!
Now is the time to start thinking about food and beverages
and buy them the weekend before ACen so you have them ready!!! Also, if you have food that needs to be refrigerated tell me the day before you drop your stuff off so when you do drop your food i know what needs to be refrigerated so i cvan get it into my refrigerator.
Next topic...Things to bring with you....
Okay, This to is important so listen up or read up..>>; Here's what i did of things i wanted to bring with and thing i need to bring with. I made a need and a want list on a piece of notebook paper because it has lines to sort things out. If you wanna see it, ask me :). The need list is of things you NEED to bring with you and the want list is of things that you'd like to bring with you but you don't really need to bring them with. My need list consists of:
- Toothbrush
- Toothpaste
- Brush/comb
- Deorderant
- Shampoo
- Conditioner
- Pajama's
- Digital camera
- Camcorder
- DvTapes
- Memory card
- Plug for both cell phone&Camcorder
- Zune
- Food bag (Everyone's food will go in this bag, so remeber to put your food in a plastic bag :))
And my want list is this:
- Anime Dvd's
- PS2
- Drawing paper
- Pencils
- Pens
- Copic markers
- Ds
See how i did that i just put down things that i NEEd to bring and things i want but don't really need to have with me.
Next topic...Dropping your things off at my house.
Okay this MUST MUST MUST be done before the day of the con, Thursday night you will all drop your stuff off (every thing, every bag, everything, even your talking pet fluffy must be packed T.T;;) at my house so my mom and i can put it in her van the night before so when she comes to pick us up we can just go after school on Friday. If you cannot because of work then bring it with you to school on Friday and ask one of your teachers if you could leave it in their room, like sensei's room or if not then plan ahead bring your things over to my house earlier that week.
Now we will all meet up together by sensei's room the doorway out by sensei's room specifically and by 2:55 because we NEED to check in the hotel A.S.A.P and the sooner we leave the better (Traffic/Rush hour..not the movie). If you need to talk to me you know where to find me in the morning, the cafeteria duh....i leave the table at 7:30 though so if you need to talk do so before then.
I know this is alot but taking thee extra steps will make sure you are ready for the con and have everything you need.
For the hotel we together raised $271!!!!!! ^^ if they give us some money back i will divide it between us, also if you guys would be so kind as to before we get out of the car could you donate $5 for gas money for my mom? The cost of gas is high and for what she's doing for us calling and reserving us a room and bringing us there $5 is not a lot to ask to give back to her for gas money.
Lastly, are you ready now and prepared? I am...and theirs always that one last thing you forget as you reach your destination.....>>;; Ah well...Don't forget your cosplay.
