Toradora! is indeed something! Well, it was really predictable and all but like what you said, the way the characters are portrayed makes it a whole lot different than the rest of the romantic-comedies that I have seen. It is absolutely awesome even though I haven't finished watching it. You would be so addicted to it, just wanting to see more and more. I don't even mind rewatching it. COme to think of it, when I finish it (which I haven't yet), I would most likely be watching it again. :D
Just finished Toradora! and I think it's really great. I returned to re-read your review and this really was spot on! Thanks for the recommendation. :D
Nice coincidence here. I've been listening to Orange and the other Toradora themes lately. And they keep making me want to rewatch the series.
I think if I were ever to try and get someone into romantic comedies, this would be the one I'd show them. Maybe when I get people together to watch Advent Children I'll also see if I can shoehorn some other anime like this in too.
Toradora! deserves to be named alongside Honey and Clover (another wonderful J.C. Staff anime) as the cream of the crop of romantic-comedies in the past five years.
I second this motion. I was not a fan of romantic comedies, but Toradora! just as something to it that makes it a leader of the pack and one that does justice to what can usually be a lame genre.

I rarely watch romantic-comedies... usually, when I do, I feel like turning my brain off and just laugh.
