Welcome to the 365 project. MintIcecream and a bunch of others are also involved in this project and Mint actually came up with the idea. Everyday, you make a little project specified by a book with a theme.

My theme is Mystical Creatures. This includes dragons, griffons, unicorns, elves, trolls, dwarfs, popodawas, spirits, and many many others, but I'll probably mostly center on the more animal type creatures. Hope you enjoy my pieces, and I hope I can keep up with everything. -.-;

Day 4: Lindworm

PROMPT: take a five-minute walk, then make something using whatever materials are available where you've ended up. leave it there for someone else to discover, but be sure to document it first!

So it snowed here all day. What a great day to have the one about making something from outside when its all covered in snow. So what is a person to do but make a snow sculpture! I took a break from programming to walk around and ended up at a residence hall on campus. There were dead twigs sticking out of the snow as well so I decided to make a very cool Lindworm.

Lindworms are serpent-like dragons with either two or no legs. In Nordic and Germanic heraldry, the lindworm looks the same as a wyvern. You can see that I decided to give it two arms and a tail. Sometimes Lindworms can be portrayed without ears or horns, but I decided that mine should have both! There are so many stories about Lindworms, you'll just have to look it up for yourself!
