Thought I'd give this wallpaper challenge a try. Trying to up my graphic design game a bit, improve some.

The theme of this wallpaper I went for was you can no longer hang onto childish things. Sometimes we are put into situations that are unfair and they test the limits of our strength.

The long and the short of it without giving anything too spoilerific away is this; These girls who share similar faces and eyes are apart of an elaborate scheme to essentially fuse the dimensions back together. For that reason they get kidnapped, first Ruri from XYZ, Rin from Synchro. Serena and Yuzu manage to last a lot longer then the others due to the help of others and the Lancers. Serena becomes a Lancer, fights alongside them, and for a long time avoids capture as does Yuzu. However certain circumstances happen and Serena gets transported to Academia, then way later on Yuya and co meet up with Yuzu, get tricked onto a pirate ship by Serena (who later on turns out to be brainwashed) kidnaps Yuzu and Yuya and co are left to fight the pirate captain.

These girls are apart of some ultimate goal not by their choosing of course. And they have some tough times ahead. As of right now they are in the hands of the bad guy and our heroes are trying to rescue them.

In the end I wanted to convey their similarities, their differences, that they are alike yet different as if they actually do make up one person. The point of all of this is these girls have lives, friends, possible family. Counterparts or not, they deserve a chance to live out their lives with their family or friends. But before all that can happen the evil villains must be vanquished and everything must be restored to whatever it was before.

In the song "It's Time to Say Goodbye" a certain set of lyrics talk about "Are we heroes keeping piece, or are we weapons pointed at the enemy so someone else can claim a victory?" These lyrics essentially are my theme. They fit with the Yuzu girls in the sense that all 4 of them were pieces of a puzzle, they were relatively strong female heroines, and then they get captured and stripped of this by being damsels in distress, depending of course on the male protagonists to rescue them. They are pieces to fuse something greater together, to essentially be sacrificed. And that is basically what this part talks about, being sacrificed, lied to, used as a pawn. These girls are pawns, possibly used to sacrifice for a queen.

Wallpaper related comment: I tried to reflect their origins with the city pictures, using Maiami city as the base and warping the screenshots of the other dimensional cities to try to create that warped perspective that things aren't right. Used mostly purple and pinkish textures to convey the realm of Fusion which they are currently at in the anime, tried to convey a level of distress and uneasiness. All of this was quite challenging for me to put together. But I wanted to put effort into this because that's what I do.

I try to tell a story with my work if I can.
