So for this challenge we were supposed to do a wallpaper that illustrated what summer means to us. And I cannot lie, I really do not like the summertime. Don't get me wrong, there are a few things about summer that I like. Such as movie releases and the occasional summer outing. But what I hate most about the summertime is the heat. And I've been reminded many times this week of just how much I hate the heat of summer.
Just this Monday, I ended up spending two and a half hours in ninety-degree weather doing yard work. And today I was out in close to ninety-degree weather mowing the lawn. As a result, both my arms along with a few parts of my face and the back of my neck are sunburned. Plus I still have a little more yard work I still have to do this week. So no, I'm really not that fond of summer.
This wallpaper really came close to not being made. The scan I used was the only scan that even remotely fit the theme I was going for. And I actually wasn't all that crazy about it. So I was going to just toss the idea aside. But after the week I've had so far, I really felt that I needed to do this wallpaper to vent my feelings. All in all though, I think it turned out okay.
