The title of this one is taken from a satirical Edgar Allan Poe story, "The Angel of the Odd". In the story, the titular creature appears to a man who is skeptical of certain stories he hears, believing that such outlandish things cannot happen. The Angel of the Odd explains that it is in charge of causing such events, and when the man refuses to believe that it exists, it causes a number of unpleasant and apparently random things to befall him.
Of course, in the story, the Angel was composed entirely of alcohol containers; it was, perhaps, Poe's sly way of saying that the blame for many bizarre or nonsensical events could be placed on alcohol. Even so, I liked the idea of a chaotic "Angel of the Odd" who is in charge of making crazy things happen (which is why I currently have it listed as my occupation...I like to make everyone's day a little more surreal). That led to the idea of "an angel in charge of caring for unusual things", hence this wallpaper. I have no idea what that thing she's holding is. A duck? A geas (Discworld reference)? The world may never know.
I rather like the muted colour scheme in this one, although I think the background ended up a little plain. (Note: the weird wings were not drawn by me. They were part of the original image.)
One more wallpaper made with The GIMP, and the rough got rougher...
