well i'm really sick atm, so i'm sadily behind in school work -o-;

reeeeeeally behind, like one month!

but my illness just go worst, so what can i do?

hopefully skip my winter break *sighs*

but this year i just need to get 90-100% in math to pass ^^;

so i may end up skipping lit. & creative writing -_-;

then i can be ok.

but i doubt my mom will be happy over this O_O;

she wants me to skip two grades this years @.@

cause i did last year... [it was luck! but no one thinks that ^^;]

Well not too good. I just found out that classes will go on until next Monday. With my first two finals being on the following Wednesday and the last two the next day basically this means I have only this weekend to study. Not to mention the fact that I have a fencing final tomorrow, Spanish homework due later that day with a quiz to follow, and a Biology test this Thursday.

My saving graces are that if I ace this Biology test, I won't have to take my Bio final which would leave me with only one final on Thursday, which is Political Science, and I'm doing great in that. Essentially, I would only have to study for my Spanish since I'm also doing fantastic in American Lit. after 1865.

However, I need to read the stories for American Lit. which involves the play "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" and select pieces from an anthology called "Love Medicine" for my final. Needless to say, I'll be in the library for the next few days.

i guess similar maybe to Maori tattoos? but mehndi isnt really tattoo o.o it's not just design either.

the thing about mehndi i how you design lies within how you can handle applying mehndi itself ^^; that's the really difficulty!

since mehndi is a paste that takes 8-32 hours to dry, depending on how dark you want, and the type used, it's put into cones or tubes and the tricks to getting the mehndi out and keeping a good deisgn is what challenges the mind lol

not only do you need to learn to draw on paper with a pencil, but on glass ~mehndi stains a lot!~ with mehndi, and cones are the easiest form of application o.o

tubes and bottles use fin points with requires firm and steady hands, so people with firm grips are best for all forms ^^;

although the area where you live used to influence the design, now it doesnt as much, but among women traditional styles are taught first, :]

since mehndi was originally a women's form a early make-up, and only used in wedding for the groom ^^;

Pakistan is South Asia :] and Hindi is a religion that is found internationally but most common in Pakistan, Bangladesh, and the home country, India :3

Although usually it's not common in USA for mehndi to be seen, in places other than New York, Florida, or L.A, its not rare either ^^ ~although those places are more open to international styles ^.^~

there a lot of various beliefs and traditions with mehndi and many things to talk about o.o

but i dont know everything XD just little bits, here and there :]

Come to think of it, I remember seeing this back when I was in high school. If I recall, she was from somewhere in the Middle East. Pakistan perhaps? Or maybe she was Hindi. I never really asked. :/

XD well kind of~ it's got nothing to do with religion really, but very popular for South Asian and Middle Eastern events, mostly weddings and holidays :3

although Muslims do influence some styles of mehndi it's originally something popular in India, so it's really a Hindu art, however mehndi is known widely in Africa as well :]

depending on the country you live in depends on the style you'll learn to draw :3

But now you can just Google different styles and learn ^.^

usually Indian styles and Arabian are really hard o.o

so Bangladeshi and Pakistani are more popular for beginners, and African patterns are really hard!

so those are mostly for people at a tattoo artist kind of level ^^;

although some people think Indian styles are more easy, but i think its hard XD
