Famed Translator Honored
Frederik L. Schodt, translator for many Tezuka works and Ghost in the Shell, has been honored with the 4th class Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette. He was one of the original translators and was awarded for his contributions towards manga and anime. He join 10 others such as actor Goerge Takei who contributed to U.S.-Japan political relations and baseball player Tommy Lasorda who contributed to Japanese baseball. Source Link
