After having passed over Recently, My Sister is Unusual, I feel like I just missed being a passenger in a train wreck.
I can sympathize the elder Miyazaki, as plenty of anime currently around often rely on paint-by-the-numbers methods, making them highly predictable and indistinguishable from one another.

Considering the subject matter, which is creepier than usual for most anime, I can see why they chose to commit to an investigation. However, you're not wrong. Real high school can make anime high school look tame by comparison.
What I can glean from the synopsis is that it's a incest title in which a kid sister and brother are left alone at home for two months. The kid sister gets possessed by a malevolent spirit and is given the choice to "get" with her brother or perish along with the spirit. Now, I'm not judging Japanese tastes (given the fact I'd take them over most American trends), but the plot sounds like soft core hentai. There were no promises from the studio that they wouldn't go that route. So in the end, it was brought to attention because it could have been a show in which a brother and sister have an on-screen physical relation at a 10PM slot, along with other specific offenses.
Take that as you will. I just find it a bit suspect.

That ethics investigation? Really? Have people walked into a High School lately? Would put most racy anime, manga, comics, tv shows, books, etc. to shame.

Senpai Club's "subtitles" are funny! xD It's an interesting take on shoujo anime parody. :9
