It's really a sad news... I'm not gonna be happy if another one like Bandai entertainment will close... Aside from that, I don't also know why will they close, they're actually one of the famous anime companies.
But, if they're really going to stop releasing new DVDs, etc., then I should thank them for releasing many of them in the past years (I mean so much years.), those anime products that they have done were really entertaining people who are really fond of anime.
Well... it's also kinda unpleasant for me and of course to others. (I don't like this to happen of course! I won't be able to buy some new gundam CDs and Code Geass CDs too )
But...Thank you Bandai. I'll miss you!

Man, this sucks.

*wipes away a tear* Lucky Star is one of my favorite animes. Probably because it was realistic and I could relate to it a lot.

I'm sad to see them go, but I understand how hard the Anime and Manga companies are taking it...
Bandai, you will be missed.

What gets me, and a lot of my fellow Gundam fans is the cancelled releases, especially Turn A Gundam. This news with Bandai is all we've been talking about on the mecha anime forums I visit.

This really is a shame, but not an unexpected one. They had been showing signs of this for a long time now; the fact that a lot of their releases over the past year or two had been sub-only was a giant warning sign. But it's still truly sad times either way, for both us fans and the people who have lost their jobs over this.
Man, I remember when Geneon USA folded. I didn't realize that's been almost five years now.

Wow, this has not been a good decade for the anime/manga industry. Sad really... I'll especially miss Cowboy Bebop. Good times.
So it is all up to you Funimation to take the fight to 4Kids and avenge TP and Bandai.
That last Cowboy Bebop reference really got me. ;n;

Huh?! Wait, what . . . just happened . . . Um, does this mean there'll be a going-out-of-business sale on DVDs? Not to be cold or anything . . .
hey I love Outlaw Star also, but few people have seen it. sorry. but I didn't care for Cowboy Bebop. it just didn't click with me.

I'm gonna miss Bandai. 3/4 of my dvds are from Bandai. ;_; They had an amazing run. Thank you!

Knowing Bandai Entertainment back in 1999 was how I first knew of "Gundam", though I did not start watching "Gundam" anime until 2000. The first commercial I saw from that company was for the Region 1 VHS relase of "Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory". That company sure licensed some awesome titles over the years: "Vision of Escaflowne", "Cowboy Bebop", "Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex", "Galaxy Angel", "Gurren Lagann",the various "Gundam" titles Bandai Ent. brought over in North America, and the list goes on.
It bites to see Bandai Entertainment is not brining anymore anime and manga in North America, and North America has already lost few of anime distributing companies, like ADV Films, Geneon, and U.S. Manga Corps. The future of anime and manga distribution in North America seems to be getting more gloomy.

What, Outlaw Star gets no love? That's a Bandai title! ;P
I think Cowboy Bebop is the one title many fans can be thankful for. I've got fond memories of late nights as a 12 year old watching it with friends. ^_^
That Cowboy Bebop reference got me. Good by Bandai!
*makes gun shape with hand*
lolol cowboy bebop reference

Plural, my friend, Y U HAVE N00B TITLE AND ICON?
As someone who spent much time watching my Bebop DVDs over and over again, (not to mention my GitS: SAC DVDs as well!) I thank Bandai for providing me with such a fine selection of anime. No doubt I'll probably seek out more of their existing stock and enjoy the anime they provided me. Thanks for everything, Bandai!
I would have a list here if I put mine down...

I have a few Bandai DVDs in my collection, like Gundam Wing and Escaflowne
they said they were moving to dubbing I think.
Freelance Lombax (Otaku Eternal) | Posted 01/03/12 | Reply
Well, at least they're not going away completely. But still, nyoro~n... Did they say why they were moving away from that part of the industry?
(Not a Haruhi fan, but "Nyoro~n! Churuya-san" was adorable :3 And Lucky*Star was fun... all those references...)
hat and gundam figure is best.

Bandai....I tip my space cowboy hat to you.
