Birthday Boy Rexikat Rhapsody

“DEMYX!” Axel burst into the water-element Nobody’s room with a loud bang and an even louder exclamation. He was glad Demyx never locked his door, claiming that ‘people always need my help, so I figure it’s easier that way.’

Those words had never rung more true for Axel than today.

He heard Demyx splashing around in his bathtub and quickly wrenched the bathroom door open. “Dem,” he said desperately, “you gotta help me. RaXi accidentally drank the last glass of O.J., which, incidentally, happened to be Triskix’s birthday O.J., and now there’s nothing for him to drink for his birthday breakfast, and RaXi almost died eating his birthday breakfast, so I really, really need your help in finding another carton of O.J. before Triskix figures out that RaXi is stalling him from going down to the kitchen (which is probably going to be pretty soon, he’s a smart cookie, that one, even if he is a bit emo) and totally burns something down and then Xemnas will get mad at me and Triskix’s birthday will be ruined, not to mention his birthday breakfast.”

Axel paused to suck in a huge breath, and awaited Demyx’s answer.

The Melodious Nocturne merely stared at Axel with wide eyes, slightly slack-jawed. After a full thirty seconds had passed, he answered, “Sure. I know just the place.”

Axel let out his breath with a whoosh, clutching at his chest. “Thanks so much, Dem,” he said. “I’d totally give you a man hug right now, but you’re all covered in water, so I’ll just take a rain check.”

“No problem,” said Demyx with a smile. “Just gimme a second to get dressed, and we can leave for Hollow Bastion. Everything will be just fine.”
