When Ryan said that he was Makoto from Minami-ke, heh, I had to look that up. I had never heard of that anime before until now. I looked it up on wikipedia and saw a bit of the sixth episode.
Am I right to assume that the reason his sister laughs at his costume is because Makoto is a crossdresser? 8D

This kept me reading word for word ^^ I especially like how you described how his heart operated like a piston when he got scared and nervous. I would have never put it that way. And yeah, I think my favorite part would have to be when they ventured into the haunted house. What a pity for Jonathan to get scared!
