After some encouragement from both my brother and Sage of Magic, I finally sat down and drew my very first Legend of Zelda fan comic. It's not bad, considering that this is the first time I've finished a drawing of Link (four in this case); I find that I'm able to draw better pictures if I've got source material in front of me.
I know, I know... for those wondering why he's wearing the Wii outfit with the Triforce on his LEFT hand... it was initially a mistake. I was using a Wii picture for one reference and official artwork for the other, so it ended up being a mish-mash of both. And frankly, I feel that the rest of my comics will be the same way; the official artwork corresponds to the GameCube version, but I'm playing the Wii version... ah, well... it's art.
So while my brother was playing through Twilight Princess (and I was watching), he and I noticed that there were several moments in the game that made us think of funny alternate happenings; we wrote most of them down, so hopefully most (if not all) of them will be made into comics one day.
For those unfamiliar with Twilight Princess, there's a gameplay element that uses grass whistles to call animals. The grass that looks like a bird calls a hawk, hence the grass in this comic. The crux of the joke here is what if there was a bug in the grass when Link tried to use it?
Oh, and that poor guy in the back being chased by bees? Yep, one of the Ordon villagers; he was a last-minute idea from my brother. Hope the other villagers won't tell him to take some medicine before talking to them again (kudos if you get the reference).
Well, with that said, enjoy! ^_^
