Hey, remember how I used to talk about making a hotblooded dating sim with the codename Star Gazers? Yeah, I actually did come up with a set of characters and a fair amount of story for it, even though I have yet to write out every single scenario. So. Having gotten more confident with my tablet, I decided to draw some of the 4koma ideas that had been kicking around for a while. This one uses a new colouring style- I'm not very good at colouring yet, so I've been trying a lot of different ways to see what works. It's probably messy and strange-looking because I haven't perfected it yet. Also, I only used one colour because I thought it looked better that way, but the actual colour schemes for these characters are quite different.
Technically this joke spoils two or three major plot elements, but since the whole Star Gazers story is deliberately over-the-top and ridiculous, I don't think it really matters. The setting of this comic is not during the game proper, but sometime in the years afterwards. The character with the top-ahoge is Marse, and the character with the side-ahoge is his younger brother. (Yes they are both male shut up) Neither one is originally from Earth, but Marse spent a fairly extended period there for research purposes and even got married to someone from there, so he adapted very well. He also took on an assumed name in order to fit in better, hence the comic. I didn't include romaji because I thought it would ruin the joke, but for those who require an explanation, the large "mysterious unreadable characters" are the kanji for the assumed name, and the new, smaller ones are a pronunciation guide known as furigana. Naturally, furigana are useless if you can't read any Japanese at all, but Marse is too clumsy to tell what his brother actually meant.
