Mia Ikumi never stated that Ichigo had a cousin or was related to another Mew Mew in any way in the anime or the manga. Also, if they were related, why didn't Ringo's caretaker and older brother, Mashio, know about it? He was probably old enough to ask their mother before she died, y'know? -.-;
I thought I heard something about her being Ichigo's cousin, but I can't remember if it is really true or not. Someone needs to interview Mia Ikumi and get the truth from her. >.>

All I know about Ringo really is she lived on this island with her older brother, who's some sort of park ranger, and her pet penguin. Who I think become infused with her or something. She has this Mew Aqua necklace that she got from her mom or something, so she magically gets her pet penguin's powers to help the Mews. (Thank god for Wikipedia! :DDDDD)
I think it's also odd that Ringo is supposedly a penguin, but she has no wings or anything. Apparently, her DNA entered her body via a Mew Aqua, but I don't know for sure. Isn't it strange that the Mews' costumes match their food name more than their animal? Well, except for Berry. Seriously, as far as I know, there are no white berries (maybe poisn ivy, but that's not even edible! O_o).
Especially because Lettuce is a porpoise and she has those weird ribbon things... And Berry's is the most hilarious after all in the name is black and not one part on her has black. Oh, the irony. *laughs*
