One of six profile sketches I doodled up, all are oc’s of mine who either needed faces or updated ones

This here is Kai, he is one of my oldest oc’s from my old, to be renamed, vampire/demon story thing; I think I have only drawn him twice and both, I believe, are on my old DA account and this site

I am up and down on this one, I like it fine, but I also had so little of Kai’s appearance figured out that I am still trying to get used to how he looks, though his openness shows; oh, and the reason he is facing right rather than left like all the others— also why the signature is flipped— is because some of his important features were all on the left but I wanted them shown and drawing left when right-handed is evil so I drew it the same way and flipped it in photoshop XP

• Kai has dark auburn hair and cobalt blue eyes, some light freckles sporadically on his body, a mole beneath his right eye and one on the left side of his neck. On the right side of his neck he has a bite mark scar, received at the beginning of the story when he first appears; the scar is still somewhat ragged despite being treated soon afterwards by Cross, my main character. He is around 5’ 11”, athletic, and well liked by everyone, popular in a way. Though his personal life isn’t pleasant for him, and he was forced into adulthood too young, he isn’t a wreck and retains a generally easy-going attitude, kind eyes, and a quirky smile—but at home, he no longer retains that smile.

• Kai is human, 17 years old at the beginning of the story and around 22 towards the end; before being attacked he knew nothing of the world of vampires/demons/etc. The mark on his neck is from human teeth, a type of creature that inhabits human bodies to survive on earth and when the bodies start to or completely die they seek out a new host to infect, turning them into a sort of beacon in order to be later taken over when they, or another creature, leave the dead one. In school he plays soccer and in his off time enjoys riding his bike, both bicycle and motorcycle. He mainly does whatever he can to stay away from home for as long as possible to avoid dealing with his reclusive, alcoholic, completely dependent father.
