I was attempting a different color style to see if it looks good.

This is the "partner" I chose, Agnimon (and Vritramon/Burning Greymon) from Digimon Frontier.

He played games often every after class as a stress reliever, and one of them is a popular online game in which you can raise a Digimon of your own and have them compete with other players worldwide which determines their reputation as a online Tamer. He chose Flamon and unfortunately got unexpected invites from high ranking users causing him to lose more often, which was somehow became an unresolved online habit.

A few weeks later, the server got an update without any notes yet he successfully evolved his Flamon to Agnimon (which has the ability to use Slide Evolution for limited number of turns) and used this chance to fight fair without picking on the weaker ones, making him back on track and participated in available tournaments, campaign and events that the game provides.

All of a sudden, a thunder struck the electric post somewhere causing all the power in the neighborhood to go off. Much to his dismay, he was about to get a promotion chance in his Tamer Rank but his smartphone screen glowed all of a sudden, showing the message in a language he can't understand. As he placed his hand on the computer screen to clean it up, ripples started to suck him in and caught inside the monitor, sending him in the Digital World.

He had no idea where he was but his phone was changed into a D-Scanner all of a sudden and the silhouettes of his partner, Agnimon and Vritramon appears in front of him, warning that both Human and Digital World may befall in danger. Before they disappear, they transformed into Spirits of Human and Beast, absorbing them in the D-Scanner and everything went white.

His dad woke him up, saying that the power was restored 4 hours ago and calls him for dinner. He had no idea what kind of dream was it as he searched his phone underneath his pillow, he felt it was a bit bigger until he pulls his hand out. It was the same device that he saw on his dreams! He looked around to find his phone until it rang his incoming message ringtone in his desk.

He received an urgent mail from the game that due to the power outage caused the game server to crash as well, making it unplayable and unable to tell when will it be back. This may disappoint all players but he wasn't really concerned about it though.

As he checks the new device he obtained, the Scanner showed faces of the same Digimon he saw and was shocked that it wasn't all of a dream! To be safe, he hid it somewhere in his room just so he can only find it and nobody else, nor even telling it to his friends.

"The boundary between the two worlds just broke through..." these were the only words he said.
