This is Naomi, one of the main characters from my story, "Survival Instincts".

Naomi is a devout member of a religious group known as the Children of Terra. She had lived a relatively normal, rural life with her father and brother until her brother found her performing magic in her sleep. To create magic is deemed a forbidden form of creation by the Children of Terra, and Naomi feels very guilty about her transgression, even though she is completely unaware of it.

Naomi is a kind-hearted, but timid girl. She does her best to help others, and can't stand to see suffering. Despite her good disposition, she has a very negative image of herself, and would give anything to be rid of her abilities to levitate and emit light.

When I came up with Naomi's character design, I wanted her to be small, plain, and a little bit cute. I think I accomplished those goals pretty well. The color scheme was a little hard to figure out, but I think that came out fairly well, too.

Note: She usually wears a hair scarf in public, but I omitted it because this is my first drawing of her, and I wanted to show what her hair looked like. SPOILER: Besides, she loses it in the third chapter.
