Hello, everyone! :D

So here's my entry for AnimeGal816's "Song Lyrics and Pictures!" challenge. The other night, hoping to finally figure out what I could draw for the challenge, I chose to listen to some music deliberately for the purpose of finding the right lyrics. I decided to go with Owl City, as his song lyrics usually contain many vivid images. So while listening to "Alligator Sky", the lyrics at the beginning of the description just jumped out at me, and I was like "THAT'S IT!! THOSE ARE THE LYRICS!!" I think I was even pointing at the screen XD

So I got to work on this: it started as a pencil sketch, was outlined with my favorite pen (a Sanford Onyx Micro), was scanned, cleaned up and colored in Manga Studio Debut 3.0, copied and pasted into MS Paint 2007, was burned/dodged/blurred/lens-flarified in Photoshop Elements 3, and then signed back in MS Paint.

Honestly, I really, really like how the burning and dodging worked for this; it adds a smoother, more natural shadow than my usual "cel-shaded" look. I should do this more often :D

Huh... somehow, I thought this description would be longer. Oh well ^_^ With all that said, enjoy!

EDIT: the verison of "Alligator Sky" I was listening to was not the version with Shawn Chrystopher... personally, I just think that version of the song is too much of a departure from Owl City's music.
