An adze is an african vampire that turns into a firefly. When you catch it, it turns into its human form and attacks. It's usual prey is small (usually pretty) children. I came across this species while researching for that manga that failed. Well, half failed really, I'm obviously still playing around with that idea. So this style is a little different, I'm working on a new one that's simple to draw and photoshop, but can come out detailed. It's a mixture of my original style, edward gorey, and zetsubou. So far, I like how it's coming along.
As for this particular character, I love how he turned out. He doesn't look evil at all, so if he ends up in a manga he will definitely have to be a good guy ^_^. I need a name for him....
I'm also pretty proud of how my first bug attempt turned out.
