the giant Chinchilla like animal is Picha-chan and is the pet of the little girl Yurika-chan

Picha was a normal sized chinchilla at one time but he acidentally ingested "Chemical X" and is now a cute house pet of enormous porportions. but Yurika loves him still just the same if not more.

though I don't think other's feel the same way XD
