So I watched Tim Burton's Beetlejuice the other day... And I have to say, I can understand why it creeped me out so much as a kid. xD; It has to be one of the weirdest movies I've seen in a very, very long time.

So of course I had to draw some fanart.

Betelgeuse is an odd character for me. He's so goddamn obnoxious -- he's like a retarded monkey with ADHD on crack, I'm not even joking. But at the same time there's something about him that I want to like, although I would never, ever want to meet him.

Anyway. This is a somewhat younger picture of him I think, maybe when he first decided to go off and do his own thing. I screwed up the stripes on his suit -- only after I inked it did I realize that they're actually vertical, only horizontal on the sleeves. Oh well, I guess that's what you get for not paying as much attention to character designs as you should and then not even using reference. :P
