These are Fler and Hilda, sisters and guardians of the land of Asgard. Here they represent day and night, Summer and Winter.

This drawings is an old one but it's a landmark in many respects. It's the first time I draw girls on Letraset Markers, also my first exploration of Duality. It is my first Cameo-style drawings as well. The characteristics of Hilda and Fler have since become an Archetype in my work: The innocent and wild versus the restrained and cold.

"Sisters" was my first step towards preferring fuzzy pencil outlines over ink for lines. Pencil is softer and lets the colours take prominence.

I hope to visit this subject matter soon again...maybe during the summer?
