And now for…ANOTHER FANCHARA?

But at least he’s not a fanmew. No, here we have an Alien-Human hybrid named Kannori, after the Italian pastry, cannolli. He basically popped into my head the other night after I started wondering why I had so many Tokyo Mew Mew characters that were either humans or fanmews, but no aliens.

So here he is~! Bio time:

Kannori is a failed attempt at recreating the Blue Knight’s powers. He used to be an ordinary human; however, he had a life-threatening disease and wasn’t expected to live longer than a year. The Saint Rose Crusaders, who had observed Masaya Aoyama’s abilities when he accessed Deep Blue’s powers, decided to try to replicate the phenomenon (please note that in Kannori’s timeline the events at the ending of Tokyo Mew Mew Ala Mode never happened…The Crusaders are still out there wreaking havoc and kicking butt). By injecting Kannori with a powerful dose of Mew Aqua mixed with the genetic material of an alien parasite, they believed they could manage to give him similar abilities.

Unfortunately, the project failed. Although Kannori did develop limited flight capabilities and the ability to manipulate energy, it wasn’t anything close to what the Crusaders had hoped for. As a result, they decided to scrap the project. However, Sweet Juliet felt sorry for Kannori and continued to monitor him. Eventually, he began to develop some of the physical traits the Aliens had, such as large ears, pale skin, and slitted pupils. He also became resistant to his disease due to the Mew Aqua, along with a major increase in his powers.

The Crusaders were thrilled; the experiment was working after all. They decided to bring Kannori to their headquarters and wipe his memories. They succeeded, but he escaped shortly after. He now roams the city, attempting to find clues as to his real identity. However, he still feels an allegiance to the Crusaders because they were the ones who, in his mind, rescued him from some unknown fate. As a result, Sweet Juliet has decided to try to lure him back into their group with promises of friendship. He has begun to develop an affection towards her, but is still quite apprehensive.
