One day he attempted to kill his friend's (Kale's) grandsons because he wanted their eyes, which are the source of their power (if you're familiar with Naruto, think wanting to take the sharingan). He almost succeeded in killing one of the boys, but when he went to kill the second the kid somehow drained Regran's body of its age, forcing him to run away. Regran has a way to restore his former 40-year-old self, but he actually prefers being small because he can get away with more.

So now here's little Reggy with his naginata ready for a fight which will, of course, end badly for him. And who is it against? Kale of course.
