Now this I did as a sort of celebration for Street Fighter 4 coming out. It's so awesome and I just love playing it. So this pic was inspired by a scene in the manga Ryu Final which is set during the time of Street Fighter 3. In it Ryu is facing Akuma with only his left hand after his right one was crushed and bloodied as Akuma prepares to use the Shun Goku Satsu. I wanted to capture Ryu from that scene so I did this. (I wanted to draw Akuma too, but separately so you'll see him later)
