Remember my old fan-character, Indigo Aoyama?
Well…I revamped Indigo’s design so she would be less of a Mary-Sue [although we already could tell that she was a shameless self-insertion to begin with…^^;]. I’m thinking about maybe getting her story back in motion sometime, so here’s a profile!
Indigo’s full name is Indigo Mizuiroteien, meaning Indigo Sky-Blue Garden. Her first name comes from a type of edible mushroom known as Lactarius indigo, or more simply, the Indigo Mushroom.
She stands at roughly five feet, seven inches and weighs about one hundred and thirty-six pounds. Indigo has a curvy body, but a rather flat chest. She doesn’t have much in the way of muscle mass due to the fact that she was never really one for exercising in any way except dancing, and even then it doesn’t do her much good because she only dances alone in her room. She is extremely clumsy and lacks balance. Her only skills in the realm of sports are in swimming and cross-country skiing, although she doesn’t really practice either one.
In her human form, Indigo usually wears her school uniform. She goes to the same private school as her teammate, Mew Raimu. It is known as Akimotorie Junior High; the name of which means true autumn village painting when translated into English. She normally wears a black jacket over a white blouse, black ankle-length athletic socks, sneakers and a knee-length black pleated skirt. She sometimes wears a black scarf if it gets colder, but normally refrains from wearing any such decoration. When not in uniform, she will wear a blue dress shirt with a black, knee-length un-pleated skirt, or black sweatpants. She normally wears some kind of dark-colored sweatshirt with this outfit.
When Indigo was a young girl, Deep Blue sought her out because of her potential to be a ‘vessel’ for him. Had he utilized her as his ‘vessel’, she would have suffered a fate similar to that of Masaya Aoyama after Deep Blue had taken over her body. As he knew the likely progression of the Mew Mew Project, Deep Blue chose her because of her compatibility with the genetic material of the Marbled Freshwater Stingray Himantura oxyrhyncha. It was his plan to find people who had a high probability of being involved in the Mew Mew Project, and because of Indigo’s age and unique genetic material, it was almost a guarantee that she would be injected. However, she wasn’t in the vicinity of the area that the injection beam hit and had not passed through any of the locations equipped with a genetic scanner set up by Ryou, so he had to find another person to serve as his ‘vessel’.
Indigo had no idea of this, and went about her daily life, not knowing that before Deep Blue had chosen Masaya instead of her as his ‘vessel’, he had infused her with some of his power to help him possess her more easily. Therefore, the energy had stayed dormant inside her body without her having any notion of it until the fateful day she was injected because the powers of the other Mew Mews had failed in the latest battle against their newest enemy. Because of Deep blue’s powers being inside of her body, Indigo’s Mew Mew uniform bears some similarities to Masaya’s outfit as the Blue Knight, such as the cape like design of the skirt, her shorts, and the design of her choker. Her Mew Mew mark resembles a four petaled flower and is located on the left side of her neck. It is on the centerline of her body in the same way the Mew Ichigo’s is, on the side.
Indigo’s weapon is a set of panpipes, which she can summon at various sizes. They are known as the Indigo Pipes. While not very powerful at first glance, there is a lot to be said for the amount of energy this weapon can produce, indigo’s primary attack is focused towards intimidating and weakening the enemy instead of assaulting them and is known as Ribbon/Reborn Indigo Sonata. Indigo plays a simple melody with very muted notes which causes her enemy to be hit with a set of very low sound waves, causing them to feel drowsy and slightly nauseous. Indigo usually lets the other Mews finish the job after this, but sometimes she will use her secondary attack, Ribbon/Reborn Indigo Concerto, during which she plays a higher melody on her pipes which often causes the enemy to fall into a blind and confused state, thus allowing Mew Indigo to attack again and render them unconscious. This attack is also used to destroy Chimera Anima.
Hope it’s a little better than before, especially since I changed her pointy weapon of DOOM! XD
I’m not really too good at conforming to the whole musical instruments are weapons thing, but that harpoon needed to go, just like her ripped-off outfit.
Hope you like~!
