I would have to say that this is my masterpiece. I've probably said that a few times before, but this time I think it really is.

I have been working on this for about eight or nine days straight. I have no idea how many hours I put into it! I think it was so worth it though. I've never made anything this amazing.

Everything is hand painted with acrylic paints, and the only colors that I used were black, white, brown, red, yellow, and blue. See those gold strings everywhere? Those are tiny gold balls that each have a highlight and a shadow. That was tedious. And I redid the girls' faces like three times each. But I think they turned out great.

And there are twelve butterflies. Those of you who know me know that twelve is my favorite number. :) The kitty was kind of hard to paint. Trying to make it look fuzzy was not fun. And it looked really posessed until I put the highlights in it's eyes.

Anyway,

Title: Vanity

Time taken: Too many hours to remember

Medium: Acrylic paint

Dimensions: 20x24

Music: Bjork, Nightwish, and Sirenia

Date Completed: December 27, 2008

And that's it. I really hope you like it. You better like it. Seriously, how could you not?
