This was the second portrait I have ever painted, and I'm so proud of it! I can see the mistakes in it, but I also love them.

He is actually an OC of mine from a story I plan on writing in the future. The title of the painting comes from his name Phoenix and Shadow obviously portrays the grey scale. I watched the movie 300 hundred before this project, so I was really into greek and roman themes. That's why to me, Phoenix looks like he has that old master's nakedness about him (laughs)

Overall, I just really love this painting!
