Before he was the general, West created his Mech when he had first joined the MSA Team as new member. Despite its creation, it was not and has not been used for any missions what-so-ever. No one can blame him though. Ex is considered to be a bottom of the line Mech. Its arms hold it up, so they can not be used for hand-to-hand combat. Despite its wings, it has no flight ability at all. And the only weapons that it carries are the two cannons on each of its shoulders, and even those can only fire in the upward direction while its standing...not that they have ever been fired before.

During all of his time as an MSA member and general, his Mech was simply there in the hangar collecting dust since most his assignments were information and data based. When asked why he doesn't simply just rebuild a new one, he always replies, "I could never destroy something that I created with my own hands." Ex, a useless Mech, but here to stay.
