New Blending Wolf practice Kuroi Hihane

Ah, well I was bored today cause my phone wasn't working so I couldn't text my boyfriend so I drew this pretty wolf while watching Harry Potter.

This uses the new blending technique I discovered, and I do believe its how all the other amazing wolf/animal artists use. Now I shall explain how it is done.

This is done with Prismacolor colored pencils but it'll work with any colored pencils. The secret is ...color.

Yeah Yeah, what the heck is she talking about? Well my wonderful art teacher informed me that you can blend colored pencils with a white one. And it just so happens that it works a whole lot better than the actual blender stick or marker you can buy. In fact you don't even have to use the actual white one, a light grey works just as well. The only catch is that it WILL make the orginal color a tad lighter depending on how much pressure you apply.

I suggest that you put down a thin layer of either white or light grey where you want to blend before you put your colors down then go over with the colors and then over that with the white or grey again.

Try it out and see how you like it, I find it much more reliable than the blender because it looks and is much smoother. I use the greys for darker colors and white for lighter ones.
