... Yeah. Criticism rejeted in this case; I can already see all of the horrendous mistakes I must have likely made with the anatomy, reference pic or not.
But the story of how this drawing originated... ask ~silvervampiress . kidding, kidding. But I did draw this while I was at her house last night. All because she pulled out one of her piano/vocal books, one in particular having the songs from the 1980's musical version of Victor Hugo's Les Miserables (though I foolishly confused it at first with one of Dumas's works. Seriously, how on Earth did I confuse Hugo with Dumas?! sorry, still kinda beating myself up over that a bit. Continuing with the story...). On the very last page of the prologue-thing where they storyline is explained, there was a pic of Cosette and Marius (is that his name? I keep forgetting) in a pose much like the one Lyserg and Jeanne are in this pic, with Dejean, Fantine, and Eponine standing behind them.
I don't know why, but upon seeing that pic, I had the urge to draw a similar composition. Why LysergxJeanne? I don't know, ask my brain. And while you're at it, ask it why the heck these two came to mind as I was reading the later half of the story summary mentioned previously as Cosette and Marius.
