I originally created this in 2004, so I guess that would explain why I messed up the linework. I tried to fix it, but I put the lines on too heavy in some areas, so they were beyond fixing. (However, note that Hiroyuki Takei's linework is fairly heavy, too. But he balances the contours of his character's designs very nicely. I did not intend to copy his lines, but I was aiming for something similar to this later artwork of mine: Beautiful Fighter.)At least I was learning how to do them, despite my somewhat failed efforts at correcting them. That said, I'm fairly happy with the painting itself, so that's why I'm resubmitting this old artwork. I got the shading and highlighting as I wanted them to look.

As usual, it's painted with a mixture of acrylics and watercolors. The background is a blend of watercolors, ink, and CG effects (not coloring). I added the CG enhanced blurring to the flames so they would not look as sharp. I hope you like the artwork.
