This is Unmei and Mayonaka, they're brother and sister, obviously. They are members of a tribe on an island that worships a "lava god." Knowing that she is going to be sacrificed, Mayonaka leaves and Unmei is left to be sacrificed in her place. The point of the dialogue is that, when sacrificed, you are thrown into the volcano!
