Hey! It's my first color picture on here! Yay! It was inspired by the Tale of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. We had to read it in English class. It was actually pretty interesting. The pictures from the textbook, to put it mildly, SUCKED! They weren't what I imagined at all. So, I drew this. Since the Green Knight was apparently immortal or something, I wanted to give him some kind of other-worldly feel. Hence, glowing red eyes and weird, dragon-inspired armor, which is, appropriately enough, green. Everyone seemed to imagine Sir Gawain to be in his thirties, but I didn't think so. People didn't live long in King Arthur's day, and thirty would be considered middle-age. I wanted him to look young and brave and, well, HOT! I hope I succeeded. The lady in the background is the Green Knight's wife. You can probably find the story online somewhere. I don't feel like explaining the whole thing, but it was cool. So, anyways!
