I tried to invoke a violet sky, here...cuz...the color violet usually signifies the impending arrival of Akiramaru. But I didn't want to feature him, here. At any rate, I didn't incorporate a matte effect into the background, because I was trying to emulate the textured skies of my big influence, the Sandman graphic novels. Although I will never be as good as any of the artists who have graced Neil Gaiman's work... I had a lot of fun trying.
