I redid this creation of Asuka with a new background. The background was a different creation which was intended to stand on its own. Rather, it became part of this work because I felt that it worked better this way. Notice that it's torn to pieces, so it may be kind of strange to say that it now works better! That said, I wanted the background to be in multiple pieces, rather than having it as something stable and solid.

The foreground work was made primarily with acrylic paints and minor watercolor paints. There were also some minor CG effects (blurring and softening effects) added to the foreground work. The shredded background was also painted with acrylics and watercolors. I brightened the background and slightly modified the contrast.
