None of these are my designs, no, with the exception of the winged, heart tailed character - the commissioner gave me an animal and asked me to make a human version of it.
I get most of my commissions from a website called Chickensmoothie, so I can't help you with DA. One thing to note is do not undercharge. A lot of people undervalue art because artists put their prices so low out of desperation. If you're good, people will pay. Granted, once you find a nitch and get a following, you can raise your prices a bit because you're in demand.
DA is a website based on popularity. It'll be difficult to sell unless a lot of people already follow you. My advice is to advertise on multiple websites and just keep positing your regular art. People will see your art and if they want to buy, they'll seek you out.
They look amazing! These are commissions, so I assume they're not your design?
Lovely, dynamic poses and nice coloring. Question, how do you get commissions on DA? I once tried to start it a bit - with low prices - but it didn't really work out. What are the things you have to watch out for? I think one of the things that helps is already a gallery with some commissions finished - people can see the results and know you're reliable :)
