You know I don't really think it's your coloring (but do try watercolors, paint is AMAZING!). I think it's all in your linework. Your lines are very sketching and unconnected and I don't think you mean to do this and I know how hard it is to go from sketching to inking. (I have to like, meditate on it before hand. a main reason I never ink anything) But with more consistent linework I think you'd like it more.

Wow so cool! I love the guy with the pink hair, he has some major spunk in his step. I love it, it's a nice change. You drew the arms really really well too.
WOW I LOVE IT! Grey and Happy are my favs (tho Natsu makes me giggle too) I love their expressions, you captured all of them so beautifully!!
I love the part in Fairy Tale when they're trying to retrieve the book from that one rich dude, and Natsu wants to burn the house down and Lucy's like "No! We have be quiet...like ninjas!" and Happy's like "Nin Nin!" and does the little hand signs. That was cute.
I, as a citizen of Texas, of the United States of America, of the planet Earth, of the Milky Way galaxy, support your decision to try watercolors. They're my favorite. :)
Also, I totally LOVE the way you drew Natsu. He's all, "LOL I COULD TOTALLY BITE YOUR FACE OF RIGHT NOW IF I WANTED TO. RAWR." Natsu is the shizz. >:D
the art totally reminds me of one piece.. hahah.. it's awesome mariel-chan.. i like ur coloring.. prisma is just hard to blend but u did great.. this illustration could be a great chapter cover.. i havent read it but from the makers of rave, it sure looks promising..
awesome work.. ur already good in colored pencils but watercolors would be fun to try.. good luck..~! *^^*
