I really think it's just something that all artists have. They just don't really like their own work because the can see the flaws and know where the flaws are. Artists, I think, are more critical of their own work than others' work. Even Takeshi Obata-san (the artist of Death Note, Hikaru No Go, and Ral N Grad) says he ends up disliking his work later, altho I envy his mad skills.

Hmm your artwork is really not crappy! ^^ You shouldn't worry about that. Hmm What I do if I'm still not satisfied with a drawing is: search for reference pictures and look how they've done it. I had the same thing yesterday, I just couldn't get the coloring of a dragon body right, so searched for several dragon pictures and then I had gotten some ideas how to color it and it worked ^^

My black pencils can be annoying or I can't get a color which is close to black .. :P the colors you picked are great for L's hair.

Sometimes I feel really crappy about my artwork, but I think it's safe to say that the only color I'm "good" at is black. That's why my recent pictures have some sort of black in it..

OMG! Now that's talent to draw a pic of L that good! Me also love the stamp of approval, very cute. Got bored today, drew Chibi L as a cat, he's holding a sign that reads: Will Meow for Sweets. Best chibi I've drawn so far (in other words the cutest) may submit it tomarrow. It's in black and white, but I will probably make a colored version later on.
L is awesome, Light should rot for killing him!
