I don't usually like country songs, but this song is a huge exception. Its the story of a little girl, who makes a new friend named Alyssa. Alyssa lies at school, to cover all the psychical abuse she suffers at home. When the girl tells her dad, he decides to tell the school and save Alyssa, but its to late the next day. Alyssa, in the end, lies with Jesus. Its a heart wrenching story, but so accurate and powerful. I only wish more people would be willing to use their fame to spread the word like this. I encourage everyone to listen to the full song for sure.

Not only is it the best country song, but it is one of the best songs generally. Lets be the voices of the silent, the best we can.
