When I saw the challenge I really wanted to do 'Dragon Ball'. I find it amazing how I really don't do much art for things I'm a fan of. I have a few things though. Just something I thought about.
Saw this scan of Son Goku and I just had to use it. Love it so much.
I wanted to incorporate an 80s color scheme, but that seem so hard to narrow down for me because I feel during that time so many colors were in play and the way I envision 80s is bright, vibrant neon colors. I asked other opinions and some say warm...another said faded colors...asked my mom and all she wore was black during that time. XD LOL I thought that was funny.
So I just went on the more...colorful approach maybe a bit of the 80s color scheme is in there, but to be honest I'm not 100% sure.
Had loads of fun with this card despite getting sidetracked by fonts and retro gaming consoles. <.<; I just felt free throwing colors on there. XD Messing with the hues, saturation, opacity, all that jazz. =)
Original Image: Go Goku Go!
Brushes: Scratchout @ObsidianDawn and Default PS Brushes.
Font: 04b (I believe) and DigiWide (I want to remember <.<)
Program: Photoshop 7.0
Music Motivation: Yoko Kanno and The Seatbelts' "PAPA Plastic" (I wasn't really listening to music while working on it, but I ended up listening to this while I was finishing this e-card.)
Disclaimer: Son Goku well just all of 'Dragon Ball' belongs to Akira Toriyama. :)
God bless and have a nice day. =)

Game On!
